Prayer Request
The IDMCC Intercessory Prayer Team welcomes your prayer requests. Including the following in your prayer-request message will help us focus our prayer:
- Your name, or if your prayer request is for someone else, the name of the person you would like us to pray for. (First names only are fine if you have privacy concerns.)
- What you would like us to pray about for you or some other person
Monthly Meditation
One of the hardest things we do is wait, If it’s waiting in line at the store, bank or any other place. Then there is the waiting for that special package that you ordered for your self. There are also those hard waiting periods that hit us, the medical, financial and so on.
In any of these periods of waiting there is this overwhelming felling of “I want the_____ now!” You can fill in the blank with your own answer. In this fast pace world we live in, we just have this need to have what ever the blank space is immediately. There is no time to wait. Or is there?
I’m sure that everyone has gone thru the waiting period and not always knowing why. The first clue would be patience. It is ironic when we get so involved with are own lives and getting everything quickly on a regular basis we lose are patience when we need it.
A Second clue is you may not be ready for what ever it is you are waiting for. That can be many, many things, from myself, I can say that has happened to me more then once and the reasons were I had things to work through and or change to prepare me for what I was waiting for. I never did like those periods but they did work out in the end.
There may be one more reason that reason could be you need to trust in God more. I realize that is hard to do at times since you want the answers like know. You just have to trust in God and let God guide you thru what ever it is that you are learning patience for, working through or letting go of the past. As much as people think it’s all about them in true reality it’s all about God. Once the world sees God in everything there won’t be a reason to wait any longer.
